Challenge Project 2020 (Sine's Challenge) - DUE November 2020
At the August, 2019 DMQ meeting, speaker Dana Jones spoke about the quilters of Caohagan Island and did a trunk and slide show of their quilts. Their style is colorful, unique, and represents life on their island. This is the inspiration for this challenge project.

The challenge theme is Our (Great Big) Back Yard- the flora, fauna and geology of Southwest
Colorado in the style of the Caohagan quilts.
The size of the project may be up to 30" by 30".
You should include at least one traditional quilt block.
his is to be an original design- no patterns are to be used.
No fussy cutting of characters, animals etc. allowed. (the Caohagan Quilters free cut their flora and fauna representations.)
Quilting is only to be horizontal as the islanders would have done.

Check out the DMQ library book "Paginabangay- The Quilts and
Quiltmakers of Caohagan Island" by Dana Jones for ideas.
