ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION

All entry forms must be received by the registrar Wednesday, July 29, 2026, 6 pm. No Exceptions.

Maximum 4 entries per person, 1 entry per Category.

Rule Exception: You may enter 2 Art Quilts as part of your 4 total entries.

Each entry must have a hanging sleeve and a label. (May be temporary)

4" Deep minimum sleeve required on all quilts 24" wide or wider; must accomodate a 2" diameter pole. No exceptions.

For non-members, entry fee is $5 per item.

Youth: free

Entries must be brought to the Dolores Community Center on August 14th, 2026, between 2:00 - 4:00 PM No exceptions.

2026 Guild Members’ Excellence Judging Criteria
DESIGN and COLOR: Visually appealing. Effective use of fabric, borders and quilting design. No kits (kits must be identified so not to be judged for this category).
PIECING: Precise junctions & points, smooth curves, secure & invisible stitching.
APPLIQUE: Precise points and corners, smooth edges and curves. Secure stitching, nondistracting thread, no under fabric showing through.

MACHINE EMBROIDERY
QUILTING: Even stitches that go through all layers. Invisible starts and stops. No marking lines
show. Quilting adequate to secure batting. Quilting enhances the piecing or appliqué design.
